New Balance 608s
Based on fit and comfort (my 2 most important features), these shoes are the top of the line for me. I'm not a runner, but do lots of walking and gym activities and these fill the bill. Offer terrific support along the bottom and up thru the sides of the shoe. And the soles are non-marking - another plus.<br />These brown bucks are stylish too. I usually get the black or white 608s but decided to try something in a different style.<br />Another point - the shipping was Super Fast - had 'em on my feet in 2 days from ordering...doesn't get much better than that!<br />I highly recommend these New Balance 608s for any cross training activities or just plain hanging around. And the price is right.

I'm a nurse and have always depended on these 623's. I've worn NB 623's for years. It's no telling how many I've gone through. I'm on my feet a lot and these shoe's just work for me. They're durable too. They last around 5-6 months. Sometimes longer. They are not expensive and now I just order them from Amazon and the show-up at my door in 2-3 days. I like this particular style because they're mostly white and good for my work. I would highly recommend these shoes. I don't see buying any other brand.<br />D. Ison, RN

I buy New Balance because they run a little wider than most athletic shoes. I was a tad concerned since some reviewers indicated these might not be like other NB models. However, this model (MX417) wear exactly as I expected (D width). They are very light and comfortable, with plenty of mid-arch support. I liked the colors - the grey is darker than some of the pix; the light yellow/green is a nice contrast. The heel has good cushioning.<br />Mine are worn for 'knock-around', but you should be quite OK using them for cross-training or light trail running.
