The outsole pattern provides excellent traction on indoor courts and clean dry surfaces. The upper materials breathe reasonably well for a leather shoe. These are as much a cultural artifact as they are footwear. If you're on the fence, just get them. Runs about half a size large. I'd size down for a snug fit.

The design is timeless - the AJ1 especially never goes out of style. Worth every penny for the heritage and the look. I'd recommend going half a size up. They run slightly small in my experience.

These feel more like synthetic material with a leather coating. The creasing after minimal wear is extreme - the toe box looks like an accordion after two weeks. The sole also separates slightly at the flex points. For the premium price, the quality should be significantly better. Jordan Brand seems to be cutting corners while raising prices.
