A great scarf with a lot of uses.
Shemaghs are great travel accessories. I've used mine to keep sand and sun off of me in Egypt and Jordan, used it as an impromptu blanket in a freezing cold hostel in Singapore. Sure, the "fashionably trendy" scarves might look cool but if you need to keep warm and cool, this is what to get. The quality is first-rate and feels solidly constructed. It hasn't bled or frayed with a few washings. A must for travelers.
3 weeks test
I bought those sandals at Nordstrom for 59$ it was a day before I left to go go to Israel. I knew I need to replace my old sandals made by an Israeli co. name Source. I had to find sandals that can handle the heat of the desert and the small creeks of the Jordan river. for the first mission; I spent 2 days in the desert. I had to climb up to Masada and it was 116 degrees (no kidding). it took time to find the right amount of pressure I could use to tight the sandals to your feet, after few adjustment I felt fairly comfortable but I didn't like the fact that when you get little rocks in to the sandals it is almost impossible to shake it off, you have to either live with it (thats what I did) or take it off and shake the sandals. another thing I didn't like about the sandals was the fact that the sol make your feel sweat and if you try to tight it up too much it might hurt. the second test was walking in a creek for about 4 hrs, this was a complete pleasure! the sandals can be tight and no matter how many rocks on the bottom they do not slide off your feet and I loved it. between the two extremes I enjoy walking and hiking for days with no issues. I think those sandals well worth every penny and they look good too. the only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that I owned a better sandals in the past that was at the same price point.
Shirt runs a little small.
I have the same medium sized shirt in navy blue that I bought from another department store and it fit perfectly. However this white shirt, at the same size from this seller, ran MUCH smaller. I can still wear it, but it's still a tight fit. Sizing is dependent on where it was manufactured. Most of the shirts from this seller are made in Jordan, the one that fits me well is made in Haiti. I bought another shirt in slate gray from Amazon in large, and that one was too big (also made in Jordan).
I just received these and wore once to check them out this is what I can tell you
I am a older man who gets cold easy and whose health can't tolerate temp issues . My waist size can vary often as much as 50 pounds in a year . I currently am 195 pounds but been as much as 285 before . I get afraid to spend too much on clothes that won't fit . I read the reviews that these ran small and to buy one size up . I usually wear a xl now and have a 41 inch waist . I saw they had a draw string so I thought get the larger one if you need to you can draw it up so I bought the xxl . They are tight enough I don't need to even tie the draw string at all . They are very comfortable and I put them on for a bike ride at 15 mph under some tactical pants and I was sweating in 45 degree weather that I froze on without them at that speed . I will comment later on how warm they are but I am very happy and blessed I listened to others who complained they are right . BTW these are made in Jordan and the company is owned by Hanes International . They are very high quality and very soft . The sweat was dry in no time and I only use cold water in my wash and with expensive clothes like this I have no problem line drying to make sure they stay new . It is better for the environment anyways . I have had heavier artic underwear but again I will comment on warmth after it gets cold . Buy one size up you wont regret it if your honest on your size and they do not have a fly . I will take a star off later for that if it is a problem but I think I can pull them down through my ski or tactical pants . They say it is warmer , cheaper to make plus proper . We will see .
Just What I Wanted
This is a great lightweight sneaker that can be worn with a T-Shirt or a Dress Shirt. I loathe the way sneakers look today with neon green lightning bolts and ugly trimmings. These are a breath of fresh air for those not into the Air Jordan scene.Arch support is moderate ( I would have liked more) but for the price these can't be beat.A running shoe ? IMO "NO". When you run you need to spend a little more money on a shoe with shock absorbers. These would not the fit the bill.
long term review, falling apart.
My negative reviews aren't popular, but I'll take the heat. This new version isn't made like the old ones (my old one was stolen). This jacket is falling apart after about 100 days wear. the problem is the stitching. The factory in Jordan (yes Jordan) TNF used to make this used what's called single stitching. if one stitch breaks, which it does, the seam unravels with nothing to stop it. All the stitching is some cheap nylon, or worse, cotton thread. Its literally falling apart. For this price it's not worth it when there are equivalent products at your local 'big box' store for $30. TNF, spend an extra dollar on double lock stitching.
These socks are comfortable, fit well, and are very soft
I keep buying Adidas socks, hoping to find the same style I got when I about to go hiking in Petra, Jordan. I bought them in Israel and haven't found the same ones anywhere else. They were exceptionally light, for the hot desert, and I keep hoping I will find some here in the U.S. to wear with sneakers in the hot Summer.These are very soft and comfortable. I haven't had any problems with them at all. They fit beautifully.
Comfortable and stylish (at least I think it's stylish)
The shirt seemed a little heavy at first glance, but after the first wash, it felt nice and light. It looks great, and as a Green Lantern fan, it of course is quite stylish and awesome. In fact, plenty of people mention it, and so it also functions well as a conversation piece. After all, nobody hates on the Green Lantern, and everybody loved Hal Jordan. You really cant go wrong.Also, it doesnt fade with multiple washes (or hasnt yet at least, after four months, and probably 25-30 washes).
Michael Jordan Lied in Those Commercials
I needed new undershirts and I obviously went with the v-neck because I don't work in IT. Michael Jordan has been suggesting Hanes shirts are soft through moderate-to-poorly acted one-liners in commercials for years, so I gave these a shot. To be fair, the most recent commercial compares the shirts to a shirt made of kittens, which actually does not sound very comfortable.I was not terribly impressed by the softness of these shirts. They soften up a bit with a couple of washes, but at this price point you can buy CK undershirts at Marshall's that look identical but are much softer. That said, these shirts are completely fine. They are not uncomfortable in any way, you just don't feel like they are luxuriously soft like Michael Jordan would lead you to believe.
